Men Following Christ. Men Living With Purpose.

Cody Kinsmen exists to bring men together around something greater than themselves: Jesus Christ.

We believe that following Jesus was never meant to be lived out alone. Christ calls us into community—to encourage one another, challenge one another, pray for one another, and help one another become the men God has called us to be.

Cody Kinsmen is intentionally facilitating Christ-centered community among men in Cody and the surrounding Park County community. Through gatherings around the table, stories of faith, teaching, prayer, fellowship, and discipleship, we create space for men to build genuine relationships and grow in their walk with Christ.

Why Kinsmen?

The word kinsman speaks of relationship, belonging, and shared responsibility. We believe men need other men beside them as they navigate the responsibilities and challenges of life.

We want to be a community where men can come as they are, build meaningful friendships, share their stories, learn from one another, and be challenged to pursue Christ more faithfully.

Our goal isn't simply to host events.

Our goal is discipleship.

We believe the life of a Christian man should increasingly reflect the life of Christ. That means learning to lead through service, love through sacrifice, live with integrity, steward what God has entrusted to us, and faithfully serve the people and communities around us.

Men Who Lead Well

We believe that when men pursue Christ wholeheartedly, that pursuit reaches far beyond the individual.

It affects marriages.

It affects children.

It affects friendships.

It affects churches.

It affects workplaces.

It affects communities.

We want to encourage men to become the kind of men who lead their families well, serve their communities faithfully, and leave a legacy that points to Christ.

That doesn't mean pretending to have everything figured out. It means being willing to grow, to be challenged, to learn from other men, and to walk together toward Christ.

Around the Table

There is something powerful about men gathering around a table.

At the table, we share meals. We share stories. We laugh. We ask difficult questions. We pray. We listen. We learn from one another.

The Kinsmen Table is one of the ways we create space for that kind of community.

Our gatherings may include a meal, a story of faith, teaching, prayer, recognition of men who are living with virtue and purpose, and plenty of time for honest conversation and fellowship.

We believe that meaningful discipleship often begins with simply sitting across the table from another man and saying, “Tell me your story.”

Our Foundation

Everything we do is rooted in our faith in Jesus Christ and the authority of God's Word.

We believe the Bible is the inspired and trustworthy Word of God. We believe in one God—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—and that salvation comes through Jesus Christ alone.

We believe Jesus Christ is Lord, that He lived a sinless life, died for our sins, physically rose from the dead, and will return.

We believe the Holy Spirit guides believers into a life of intimacy with God and godliness, and that followers of Christ are called to live in spiritual unity as members of His body.

Above all, we believe Christ is the supreme authority over our lives.

Our Statement of Faith

  • We believe the Bible to be the only inspired, trustworthy and true, without error, Word of God. (2 Tim. 3:16-17; Gal. 1:8)

  • We believe the Christian God (Yahweh the Father, Jesus, Holy Spirit) is the creator of all things, is all powerful, all knowing, and sovereign to do as He wills. Each of the three persons are equally God. ( Acts 14:15; Jer. 32:17; Eph. 3:20; Psa. 139:1-4; 1 Sam. 2:6-9; Psa. 24:1; 1 Cor. 6:44; 1 Cor. 8:6, Rom. 1:7; Isa. 9:6; Jn 1:1; Acts 5:3; Heb 9:14; Jn 4:24; Mt. 28:19)

  • We believe that all of humanity is under the curse of sin which requires the need for repentance from sin, turning to Jesus Christ for salvation as the only way, truth and life.(Mt. 28:19, Acts 2:38-41; Rom. 3:23, Rom. 6:23, Rom. 5:8; Jn. 14:6; 1 Cor. 6:9-11)

  • We believe Jesus Christ as God came through virgin birth, lived the only sinless life, performed miracles. His death paid for sin through His shed blood, He physically rose to the right hand of the Father, and His personal return is eminent. (Jn. 1:1, Jn. 3:16, Jn. 10:17-18, Jn. 14:6; Mt. 1:18,25; Heb. 4:15, Heb. 9:15-22; 1Cor 15:1-8; Acts 1:9-11; Heb. 9:27-28; 1 Pet. 2:22; 1Jn 3:5)

  • We believe the Holy Spirit guides Christians to walk with God in daily intimacy, leading to a godly life. (Jn. 3:16, Jn. 5:24, Jn. 14:15-26, Jn. 16:5-16; Eph. 1:13-14; Tit. 3:3-7)

  • We believe eternal life comes through belief in Jesus Christ as the Son of God, we spend eternity with Yahweh in Heaven. We believe that in rejecting Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, we receive eternal existence without the goodness of His presence. This is described as hell. (Dan. 12:2-3; Psa. 9:17, 73:12-19; Mt. 25:31-46; Lk. 16:23, 26; Jn. 3:16, 12:48,17:3; 2 Cor. 4:17; 2 Tim. 2:10; 1 Thes. 4:13-18; 2 Thes. 1:8-9)

  • We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ that all believers are equally members of His body, the church. We are charged with maintaining this unity as His body. (Eph. 4:1-6; Phil. 2:1-4)

  • We believe God created the gift of sex to be enjoyed in the union of marriage, between the only two genders He created. The marriage union is designed to be limited to one man and one woman, for life. This union is also designed as the building block of society. (Gen. 1:27-28, 2:18-25; Matt. 19:4-6; Rom. 1:26-27; 1 Cor. 7:32-34; Heb. 13:4)

  • We testify that Christ is the supreme authority, above all people, governments, nations and laws. Christ holds all things together. Christ is the Head of the church, all ministers of Christ should lead by His example of servant leadership, taking the lowest place. (Jn. 13:3-16; Eph. 1:22, 5:23; Phi. 2:3-9; Col. 1:18, 2:10; Heb. 1:4)
